We have already had a very busy start to the term with many more wonderful experiences to come such as: Small Schools Swimming Carnival (10/2), Start Smart Finance Program (17/2) , selected students to attend a debating workshop at East Maitland Public School (21/2), Clean Australia Day (3/3) 'Bullying No-Way' peer activities (17/3), Taronga Zoo excursion (31/3) and last but not least Easter Hat Parade, PBL reward and Colour Run (7/4).
During Term 1, Stage 3 will be covering the following topics:
Literacy - Informative Texts - Description and Information Reports
Mathematics - Whole Number and Measurement
History - Australia as a Nation - Government and Immigration
Science - Marvellous Micro-organisms - Biological Sciences
PDHPE - Athletics, FMS, Growth and Development
Creative Arts - Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Dance
Term 1 Homework
Each week students are expected to read on a daily basis and complete LSCWC (look, say, cover, write, check) each night words they found difficult during weekly spelling tests. They also have a Maths Mentals sheet to complete. As well as this students are asked to complete one assignment due by Monday Week 10. This term our assignment complements our Science Unit.
