Our School Debating team had another success last Monday, defeating Largs P.S. in an energetic debate about city and country life. We successfully argued that city life is better (fancy that!) Our team was: Emma, Asher and Luci B. (with Harry team advisor). They have certainly carried on the tradition developed over the last couple of years, demonstrating fine debating skills.
Our Public Speakers also represented our school wonderfully well this week. So far Shyla and Ty (Stage 2) and Tilly (Early Stage 1) have progressed through to the Zone Final of the Hunter/Central Coast Public Speaking Competition. As we also have Asher in the Regional Final of the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition, we certainly have some very good talkers at our school!! I would like to congratulate each child who has represented our school at the competition this week—it is gratifying to know we have so many children willing to have a go.
