Our Walkathon on Friday, 1st July (last day of term) went beautifully. The organisation by our P&C was wonderful, with many activities enjoyed by all the children throughout the afternoon. The rain fortunately stayed away, allowing everyone to enjoy walking around the bottom playground, across the new bridge into the "forest" and pass the ball, balance, skip, crawl through obstacles, shoot baskets and eat cheesels from a string--all good fun. At the completion of the walkathon everyone enjoyed watching a "farewell DVD" from the McAvoys which we will endeavour put on to our website. It is sad to see such a lovely family leaving us for the mid north coast--we certainly wish them a happy time up north. The prizes were handed out, ice blocks and cake "gobbled up" and their end of semester one reports given out! The whole school community should be proud of their efforts, with a host of parents attending and helping out for the afternoon. As a result, over $1600 has been raised for the school--a fantastic effort! We will include some photos of the day early next term.
On behalf of the staff at the school, we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone next term.
